Forest Decomposers Guided Hike
10:00 AM
Wayfarers Unit of Flathead Lake State Parks
Description:
(Bigfork, MT) - Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announces guided hikes three Saturdays in a row at the Wayfarers Unit of Flathead Lake State Park.

Forest Decomposers Guided Hike – an introduction to how the forest recycles nutrients by decomposing various dead organisms. Our forest floor is home to different organisms that help to decompose the leftover dead organisms and turn them back into nutrients for the producers to use. Join us at our Wayfarers Unit to explore some of these forest decomposers and get a unique take on their importance.

Each hike is about one mile in length. Please bring/wear weather appropriate clothing, proper footwear, snacks, and a water bottle. These hikes are limited to 20 people and registration can be done by calling the Ranger Station at 406-837-3041 ext. 0.
