With roots in the early 20th century, surrealist artists focused on exploring the unconscious mind, dreams, and the juxtaposition of unexpected elements. Young artists will learn about famed surrealist artists like Dali and Rene Magritte while creating their own interpretations of everyday scenes and objects. Different media will be explored in a surrealist style.
