2 hour contemporary art lesson and activity from 11:00-1:00 pm

Featuring Mark Kornick and his nature based found object creations. Kornick says, “I can get really excited talking about art. For me, discovery is the ultimate rush. Finding then putting into position found objects becomes the challenge...I am also fascinated with how things work; how the stones used in the projects came to be. I really am geeky about the geological history of places I live, and the glacial till of recent Ice Ages provide beautifully smooth and polished sedimentary rock formed long before the ice arrived”. In this session participants will be challenged to use locally found objects to create representations of the world around them.
