There will be a celebration of the winter solstice at 5:30pm on Thursday, December 21 a t Lawrence Park. On the longest, darkest night of the year, we will be gathering with individuals and groups around the valley to honor the winter, the earth, and those who came before us.

Speakers will make small presentations, including fire-starting, drumming and spoken statements to celebrate this special time of the year when nature experiences a time of healing and rest. The program includes local groups such as the Shining Mountains Center for Spiritual Living, Climate Smart Glacier Country, the Audubon Society, Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center, Love Lives Here, the Crown of the Continent Choir, and the Glacier Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
