Field Sketching Snowshoe Hike
9:00 AM
Round Meadow Trail Head, Flathead National Forest
Field Sketching Snowshoe Hike Description:
What better time to slow down and observe the wilderness world around you than in the quiet of winter? Grab your pencil and journal and join scientific illustrator Selena Heck-Vasquez in putting your vision on paper. We'll take our time, soaking up the winter solitude at Round Meadow and searching for wildlife to incorporate into our sketches. We will hike about 2 miles with little elevation gain, in snowshoes.

Selena will lead the group in perfecting our field sketches and notes to express the fine, natural details of the day in the pages of your journal. Dress warm, bring snacks and be prepared for a half day outdoors. We have a few pairs of extra snowshoes if you need to borrow a pair - so please register early! Register for "Winter Walk #6" under the Winter Walks button at wildmontana.org. For more information or to register, contact Grete Gansauer: ggansauer@wildmontana.org or at (303)726-3931.

Children with genuine interest are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult.

Specific information regarding meeting place and time will be available after registration.
