Lake County Democrats and Republican Women present "CSKT Water Compact and You"
The Republican Women and Lake County Democrats are joining together to present an informational program entitled the CSKT Water Compact and You" at the SKC Theatre on Thursday, January 29th. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm and the program will begin at 7:00 pm.
Rhonda Swaney, Acting Managing Attorney for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, will be the Presenter. Melissa Hornbein, Staff Attorney for the Montana Reserved Water Rights Commission will also be on hand to answer questions.
The program will include: a brief history of Montana Water Rights; key points of the newly negotiated Water Pact agreement; Consequences of a negotiated settlement versus litigation.
