Contra dancing is New England style folk dancing to live music of Celtic jigs and reels done in long lines or a continuous circle of partners. Because it is a lively mixer with everyone dancing with each other, a dance partner is not required. Each dance throughout the evening begins with a walk-through. Children ages 10 and older are encouraged to join in on the dance floor.
Contra dancing is always family-friendly. No smoking or drinking is allowed. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks to share during break.
