"Coal Road to China"
6:30 PM
Salish Kootenai College Campus
Description:
"Coal Road to China" A film on coal exports to Asia and the impacts it would have, here and around the globe, if the proposed Pacific Coast Terminals are approved and built.

When: Monday, April 27th: 6:30 pm

Where: Salish Kootenai College at the Johnny Arlee/Victor Charlo Theatre

This visually powerful film was produced by Harold and Jan Hoem, who will be present to answer questions and provide an update on recent developments.

This film takes you to the Powder River Basin country in Montana and Wyoming. A grass roots production, "Coal Road to China" gets to the heart of the questions surrounding development of an Otter Creek coal mine and a Tongue River railroad in Montana. It then tells the larger story of what burning the coal would mean.

The filmmakers spoke with ranchers, and Native Americans in the area. They also interviewed scientists, a former coal mine manager and physicians who spoke from their experience.

This is a non-partisan event sponsored by the Lake County Democrats. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
