It's springtime in the Flathead and locals and visitors are invited to enjoy an annual

Whitefish tradition: Project Whitefish Wine and Food Fest. For the last 26 years, Whitefish

has hosted the annual wine tasting, food festival and auction. This year's event, complete

with New York theme, will be held at Grouse Mountain Lodge on Wednesday, May 6th

from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The annual event raises much-needed funds to support kids in our

community through sports and the performing arts. All proceeds from this benefit go to

Project Whitefish Kids, the organization that maintains the Smith Fields Sports Complex for

several sports teams, and the Whitefish Theatre Company.

The food is always superb with a fine sampling of cuisines from local restaurants

including The Grill at Grouse, Latitude 48, Three Forks Restaurant, The Simple Chef,

Loula's At Night, The Cuisine Machine, and Whitefish Lake Restaurant. Fun Beverage

always makes wine tasting a delight, providing a wonderful selection of wines and

introducing new varieties for tasters to sample. Montana Coffee Traders will supply plenty of

coffee for everyone and beer will be provided by Great Northern Brewing Co.

A silent and live auction highlights the evening with lots of exciting items available

this year. Auction items include an African safari, fine art, golfing extravaganzas, a garden

shed, wine, restaurant gift certificates, a Grizzly homecoming football package, health and

pampering specials, private dinners created by local chefs, sporting equipment, fishing and

hiking events and much, much more. There is also one week-long getaway package in

Sedona, AZ, as well as a chance to earn a coveted dance spot in WTC's upcoming show

"Dancing With OUR Stars" in September 2015. Local businesses and individuals have

donated all of these items.

Seating is limited to 200. Tickets are $60 per person or you can sponsor an entire

table for ten for $600. Sponsored tables are conveniently located near the auctioneer with
