Gateway to Glacier Trail Monthly Meeting
6:00 PM
Freedom Bank
Description:
We are currently planning Pedal & Paddle for Paths event as well as Pints for Paths. We encourage anyone interested in our projects to participate.
The Trail is the vision of a separated bike and pedestrian path connecting the Flathead Valley with Glacier National Park. Funds are being raised to build a section connecting Columbia Falls with Bad Rock canyon. It will connect to an existing 3.5 mile trail currently running from Hungry Horse to Coram and the soon to be built section from Coram to West Glacier. A separated path will be a safety benefit for locals cycling to Glacier Park, and cross-country cyclists visiting the park on their tours. Completion of the full trail will connect Glacier National Park with over 100 miles of trails in Flathead Valley and beyond. The trail will benefit the whole valley by providing a safe, beautiful corridor for cyclists and pedestrians who are delighted to ride or walk safely along Highway 2 in one of the most spectacular corners of the world.
