The Cottage Inn will feature local poet Julie Laing in a poetry reading starting at 6 p.m. Julie's spoken word performance will include poems from "Inspiration Speaks," a recently released collaboration between poets and artists from around the world, as well as some of her older and new work.

You'll also hear Cottage Inn owner and bar master Keith Bassett share his adventurous poetry--a rare opportunity. The reading will be followed at 7 p.m. by an Irish Jam and Winter Solstice celebration.

Copies of "Inspiration Speaks" will be available for sale and signing. Copies of Julie's chapbook "Tracks" can also be purchased at the event.
