Flathead Valley! KALICO Art Center is pleased to present Downtown Stories, an interactive art exhibition taking place downtown Kalispell October 2nd through the 9th, 2020.

Downtown Stories is a collaboration between Kalispell businesses and local artists who have been paired together and are working to create temporary art installations that can be experienced at each participating business location. KALICO has asked the artists to design an installation that tells the story of the business’ history. These works of art can be viewed by the public anytime during October 2-9, whether the business is opened or closed. However, that’s not all!

In addition to telling stories and sharing the history of commerce in Kalispell, we want YOU to get involved by photographing the installations designed by each artist! That’s right, Flathead! Time for you to get those creative juices flowing and come photograph the installations however you see fit! A map of all the installation locations is being developed and will be available soon, so keep your eyes peeled! The maps will include a short biography of each business, artist and their work together.

Once you’ve taken photos of the installations, share your images with KALICO through an online submission form. With the help of Instyprints, KALICO will print and display your creative photographs in the front window gallery for every passersby in our community to see!
