In response to the huge demand for qualified workers in our booming economy across industries, the Job Service Kalispell is offering a FREE two-day OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training on October 8 & 9, 2019. This is for employers as well as workers and students wanting to increase their qualifications to work. Registration required.

OSHA 10-HOUR: GENERAL INDUSTRY TRAINING
Montana Department of Labor & Industry Safety & Health Bureau
This training is designed to educate every worker on hazard recognition and avoidance. Topics include personal protective equipment, flammable and combustible liquids, machine guarding, preventing slips, trips and falls, and more. Also includes an introduction to OSHA’s industry standards and requirements of the more frequently referenced and cited standards. Students receive an OSHA 10-hour card upon completion.

Fred worked more than 12 years as a commercial insurance agent in Helena and Great Falls, specializing in workers’ compensation. He also worked seven years as a journalist in Lewistown, Havre, and Great Falls. He currently is a Safety Specialist with the Montana Department of Labor & Industry Safety & Health Bureau, helping workers and businesses understand the importance of workplace safety. He earned the Associate of Risk Management and Associate of Underwriting designations from the Insurance Institute of America and is an OSHA-authorized General Industry outreach trainer. He received his bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College
